+A Bleeding Heart+

Take this bleeding heart
From the hollow soul
That houses it

Listen to it cry
Watch it suffer
But don't ask why

Patch its wounds
And cover the cuts
So deeply inflicted

New scars to form
Old ones left to remember
Nothing can cover the shame
And the guilt
The fears and things forgotten

This bleeding heart
A sorry book of memories
Asking to be burned
Deserving to die

Who should help this bleeding heart
To take pity on such a thing
To help heal its wounds
To give a listening ear
To be a friend

No one

Throw this bleeding heart down
Walk on it, stomp on it, beat it
Rip it to shreds, slice it to ribbons
'Till nothing is left
Now you have been a friend

Christina
