Ok, this is just another post to help me pass the time by lol.

What all do you bake around this time of year? Have you even started your baking yet O.o? Me and my mom dont usually bake TOO much stuff. But we always make fudge, pecan sandies, cookies and pumpkin bread. What all do you bake?

And, beacuse of all this baking, how many of you are gonna be dieting after the holidays lol? I know I'm certainly gonna have to! I hate those Xmas pounds that sneak up on you :-P.

Love, Lucy Ricardo

Date: 12/20/2003 11:23:00 AM  From Authorid: 47296    In years past, I have often made my own style of fruit cake and fruit cake cookies, soaked in either brandy or spiced rum for at least 30 days. I always enjoyed making divinity, although the weather has to be right. I also enjoy making a good sweet potato pie, using real sweet potatoes, and those that come in a can.

Date: 12/20/2003 12:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 48809    I like to bake from scratch and so far I have made lots of cookies, banana nut bread, apple nut bread, applesauce bread ,pumpkin date bread, muffins with the top dipped in melted butter and sugar and lemon bread . I have made 3 pumpkin pies that are about 31/2" thick, a frozen peanut butter pie and I have yet to make a 4 layer chocolate Torte and then I am done with my baking for Christmas! I do all this baking and give to my friends and those who do nice things for me and of course we have some for Christmas too.
