Back From Surgery...................Becky

And it didn't go according to plans at all....

The ONLY ONLY ONLY reason I can even manage being here is.....my doctor got in there and decided that doing my right eye would not be worth it (duh)....that it would cause more pain for me than a be worth it.....WAHOO>...LOL

Anyway we got there blah blah blah I went through pre op then they let mom dad and danny back with me til surgery.....man was I a bundle of nerves so of course I was cracking jokes and the gal across from me got annoyed I think. OH WELL...

My doc was a bit late so I had to raz him.....But I was able to request DRUGS....:D so he agreed to give me a nice little perscription for percocet (WAHOO!). And he asked how I felt about adjustable sutures....I knew what they were so of course told him 'no way no how' LOL But he told me it WOULD NOT HURT...it would ONLY feel UNCOMFORTABLE.....so I tell him 'Ok I have faith that ya would be honest with me so fine....' Then of course the nurse and anistisiologist (sp) came in....how's this for a name....Angel Cancel....Yeah that was the anis's guys name LOL....he called the previous night but I let the machine get it oops.

So they go do surgery and I'm out in about half an hour.....first thing I asked the nurse was how long it took. and I was floored...'why so short?' (I didn't know at this time they didn't do the right eye) so they let me get dressed and bring mom and danny back (Only two could come back and dad didn't want to see this 'adjustment'

I'm starting to complain 'it hurts!' LOL My doc comes back gives me some numbing drops and leaves for a bit...comes back to do this adjustment.

OH MY GOD.....I swear that is the MOST PAINFUL thing I have ever and will ever do....(though I haven't gone through child birth yes I am quite positive this is worse LOL) so he's doing these adjustments I've got moms hands and am sqeezing....I'm bawling like a baby cause it hurts....moms hands are plum purple and I'm beyond ghost white....(I'm actually quite suprised I didn't break anything).

Doc finishes in what seems like forever (Probbaly only 5 minutes or so) and leaves for a bit....mom said you could just tell how bad he felt by how he looked....I had put my faith in him not to hurt me and he did ever so bad.... Anyway he comes back a bit later with my perscription and the nurse gives me a pain pill.....I had to wait half an hour before I could go.....but then I was released. (they had to have me eat some crackers and see I'd keep the pill down before they let me go).

Drove home....I got out of the car...mom and danny helped me inside but of course....LOL here comes all the meds biting me in the butt...spent the next 5-10 minutes on the kitchen floor in a ball 'I don't wanna get sick!' (How I held it back is beyond me)

Kinda funny so for the rest of the afternoon and early evening I crawled everywhere....and everyone kept asking 'need help?' NO!...lemme crawl....you help and I'll go too fast and I'll be to high up and I'll be sick!

Yep so that's how it went...fun huh?

And AS promised...a little blood for ya ;)

AFTER SURGERY pic: (I just took it about 10 minutes ago) It should continue to look worse for today and maybe tomorrow before any major improvements happen. BUT I will say LAST TIME my eyes were far nastier immediately after surgery than this time :D

OH but on a really cool note? LOL I figured my doc would give me ya know a dozen percs.....Naaaaaaaah gives me like 50....I feel like such a druggie LOL....but I'll need em so..yeah :p
