ALT +F4 will close the screen, if its on top, without trying to figure out where the actual "X" is. |

Ad-aware (http://www.lavasoft.nu) is an excellent tool for removing adware. Also, try searching for Spybot: search & destroy on google, that works great. Lol I dont want to sound like im advertising, but one last thing. Go to download.com and search for Cosmo popup blocker, it blocks popups great. If you don't want things to be installed without your permission crack your security settings (if your using internet explorer) up a few notches. |

Install Spybot, and it will get rid of Gator, and all those other things. For free! I run a Spybot scan once a day to get rid of that stuff. Also, try getting Spamblocker, by Norton. It'll stop popups in their tracks! |

I downloaded the yahoo popup blocker, and so far so good. It even tells me how many it's blocked, and if I remember correctly shows what was blocked recently! Pretty cool. I should run one of those programs though to see if there's anything lurking on my pc! |
