we were also robed a few years back , it turned out to be my brotherinlaws future wife . she stole all of my wifes jewelery that i designed myself and counting our credit cards 28000 in cash. then we found outr that she would take the things to her mother to pawn. she is now doing 20 years and her mother was given a choice of 20 years or full restitution. she paid and got 5 years probation. my wife that passed away never got over loseing her special pieces that ment the world to her. sorry to hear that you have to go through the feelings of this all. wooden nickel |

I know how it feels to be robbed, a few years back (I was about 12) I was the first one to get home and I found our house had been broken into. They took more stuff than I can even begin to name. I'm really sorry about your home, I would be angry too! You just gotta be thankful that they didn't do it when you were at home and be thankful you still have your family with you. *hugs* People are really stupid sometimes and they're mean enough to hurt others by taking their posessions, but it'll all come back to them. |

been ther done that. Sorry to hear about the loss. We luckily caught the ones doing it though. They had went back to the house for the second time that day to haul another load and I drove up behind them and honestley thought it was a nurse that was supposed to come out to see my grandfather that day. I got out in a rush and walked into the house and saw the living room and dining room in a mess and then I heard a car door slam. When I ran back out they had driven over a large caldron/washpot in the yard and had stuck thier car on it. I got the plate number and the car desciption and even described the people as they were steadily trying to rock off the caldron. I ran back to my worktruck and backed it up till it was stuck between the ditchtiles in the drive way. Then I locked the doors and walked out into the road all the while still chatting with the 911 operator. It was a little funny watching them ram the truck trying to move it. Then cussing at me and threatning me and crying. But four deputies showed up and pepper sprayed them and booked them. They had been breaking and entering for a while and there were some security cameras that had caught them on tape in a few homes. Right now they are serving 14 years for breaking entering, and having stolen weapons in the truck of the car as well. |

My house was broken into also. Told them who did it, they didn't care. He was picked up for breaking into another house a month later. Still never got our stuff back. |

did you have tenants insurance??(i know i know first thing i always ask, it's cheap maybe 15 bux a month!) they are fairly good with claims(atleat here when someone stole our bike they were!) did they take food??(another odd thing to ask) my mother was broken into last month they took ALL the alcohol and food and small items(thank god they didn't touch her TV/stereo, but then again i don't think they could have moved it if they tried!) it soulds like teenagers though call around to all the pawn shops and let them know a list of the items stolen, if the camera comes in the tape MAY still be in it! just remember the best part is you three are SAFE |

I am so sorry. This is why I have renters insurance (12.00 a month)!! We are going out of town for several weeks and I feel better knowing at least if I'm robbed, the stuff can be replaced. |

People like this are crud. Some things can't be replaced. I know my family movies and pictures are worth more than anything to me. Make copies and keep them somewhere else. I'm sorry someone did this to you, having someone invade your privacy and home has to be a horrible experience. |

Thanks for all the replies. No, we didn't have renters insurance, although I had no idea it was so cheap. We are very seriously looking into moving, as we are sick of the people in this neighborhood. The more I think about it, I think it was probably kids from around here. The big clue is that they took our PS2, and our nintendo 64 games, but not the nintendo system. They probably had it already. If it was someone who was just going to be pawning the stuff, they probably would have taken the system anyway. However, this means that they probably won't be able to catch them, since watching the pawn shops will do no good. |

I'm sorry to hear that. A couple times we've had little punks trashing our front yard and the church next door to us. I always make sure that both locks on our doors, windows and other doors are locked. Even if I'm gone for a few moments...I just have that fear of some one breaking into our house. I have renter's insurance and it's a good thing to have. I really hope that you'll be able to find out who these stupid theives are and if you do, I hope that you'll be able to replace the things that they took. |
