The final installment in the LOTR trilogy opens on Tuesday. I can hardly wait to se it. But I am also a bit sad after years of waiting for a movie to even be made. I first read this wonderful book well over 30 years ago. When not all that many even knew of it's existence. And today it is everywhere I still find that awesome and amazing. It is so cool to see your all time favorite book and author on everything from books to pop cans. The past three years have been just amazing as my passion became mainstream and then some. And on Tuesday the last part will be out. All the waiting and anticipation will be over. I have followed the developent of these movies from day one and it will be over. Al though I am hearing rumors of a movie on the prquel to LOTR The Hobbit. I hope so All of the waiting and guess and rumors that is so much fun

Date: 12/13/2003 12:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 54987    I read it as a kid also and I wondered too when it would be made into a proper movie. If I'm not mistaken they did do an animation film... not a disney type animation, but a kind of heavy, moody one. Anyway!!! I have 3 films to see next week ... Missing; Last of the Samurai; and this one.
Date: 12/13/2003 12:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 19092    Like you, I first read the books about 30 years ago. I have waited all those years since to see this story on the "big screen". I knew, that if some one ever did, and did it right, it would be huge. The job they have done in presenting this story is excellent. I will see the "Return Of The King" next week...
