Woooahhhh! That is SCARY! Gee what you thinkin leaving the door unlocked. Go with yer gut feeling every time cos thats the message from your unconscious that knows everything. LOCK YOUR DOOR and especially at night. Maybe have a quiet word with the police. Tell them you're concerned and to find out if he has a record. You cannot be too sure.  |

The police here wont even tell me whats on MY record, because it's "not public info" so i know they wouldnt tell me anything about him. but i guess i could try that. thanks |

There's no way I could sleep at night with an unlocked door. I don't even keep my doors unlocked during the daytime much. Be careful! This guy sounds like a grade A weirdo! He could be dangerous.  |

I used to not lock my doors, because i told my ex that he could come and sleep over whenever, just to let himself in and not wake anyone up. I have a feeling he's going to be getting a key shortly. |

Well first off the guy came into your house without permisson whether the door was locked or not it's against the law...(especially 4am)....File a report so there is some sort of record of it....LOCK your doors.....get pepper spray.....I really don't think you need a gun...keep a phone by your bed I guess so calling 911 can be done quick...  |

THat is very scary. I agree about filing a report with the police. He cannot just come into your home like that in the middle of the night, or anytime for that matter. Definitely report it to the police, though.  |

I'd do what the others suggested. Lock your doors and windows from now on, and call the cops. That man had no right (especially at that time) to be coming into your house...much less your BEDROOM....without permission. I say definitely call the cops.  |
