Frost Dusk
If perhaps the world would cease To tug so painfully at my senses Forcing the feeling from my bones Then I would know why, when You fold a tissue it can reach The moon, and then I could Know when my eyes would Dim and brighten in the light Of forgotten memories relived There the time that trips over My small feet will recall pain And pleasure it gave me, the Mercy of tiny hands stroking The dirt from a child's hair As midnight falls on the earth Casting a shadow of doubt On lover's hearts, midnight The catalyst for unknown hearts To reach out for a foreign Thought, without distance Then hands begging for Peace fall idle, and I Turn to watch the final Light die in the sky My curiosity piqued at such A thing, cold childish fingers Carving arcane symbols Breath held in warm anticipation
