I think that this is against the constitution. They are preventing the free expression of religion. I think that it's about time for the supreme court to look at religious freedoms and/or the free expression of one's religion.  |

Okay...you're not allowed to say "Merry Christmas", but when you roam the halls, you probably have to listen to all sorts of vulgar language coming from fellow students whether you want to hear it or not, right? *ponders this for a moment* Oh, that makes perfect sense. Even though I graduated from high school in 1996, I remember I couldn't give a friend a birthday card, (I didn't realize that because she was a Jehovah's witness, that they don't celebrate birthday's, it's just part of their religious custom, which she later explained to me--I wasn't offended, I just didn't know it beforehand). Nor could we really exchange gifts at Christmastime with friends, though we did anyway...and the movies we had to watch...had to be suitable for both the elementary and the high school. Ever try and get a bunch of high school seniors interested in the movie Prancer? But when I tried to report to the vice principal that I was being sexually harassed verbally and some students were trying to grope me in the hall...I was told to merely ignore it. Okay, my best friend can't say Merry Christmas, but some jerk can make lewd comments on my chest size, and I'm supposed to what, say 'thank you'?!?! I don't think so! Particular when, if I'd had more self esteem and guts back in high school, I could have tramped the little wimp, made him incapable of ever reproducing, and recruited another soprano for the chorus. But I was far too nice to do that. Though I still sometimes take satisfaction in knowing that I could have, but knowing that I didn't makes me feel like the better person. Anyway, I digress. Your school is stupid, who's your principal, Ebenezer Scrooge? To that I say: MERRY CHRISTMAS! JOUE DE NOEL, FELIZ NAVIDAD, PERE NOEL (sp?), etc. LOL. you get the idea. I say you get the community to protest and flood the principal/superintendants office with cards bearing Merry Christmas in every possible language you can find!  !! Go for it, what can they say, Bah, humbug? LOL!

oh as i was reading the reply's christeene (sP?) sorry....gave me a hint..instead of actually saying "MERRY CHRISTMAS", just say it in a different language...and then you are not really syaing CHRISTMAS....lolz...in italian its "Boun Natale", in other languages its other things...find it out and then spread it around the skool lolz...at least then teachers cant say that you have to stop actaully saying the word CHRISTMAS....because its translated lolz! Ok i think ive gone crazy lolz...oh well that is what i would do hehe!  |
