MADE YA LOOK!!!

Really I just want to know about turkey eggs...

Do turkeys lay eggs? Surely they do, but we never hear about them.

They aren't sold in cartons of 12

Are they foul...or just fowl?

Goose eggs are bumps on the head

Ostrich eggs are for freaks on Fear Factor to drink

Fish eggs are concidered a delicacy

And we all know about chicken eggs...your brain

Fried-your brain on drugs

Scrambled-your brain after too many riddles

Poached-your brain after a day at the beach

But what about the turkey egg? Are they ALL incubated for Thanksgiving feasts...

Did you know turkeys are so stupid, they will drown themselves just by watching the rain fall from the sky?

Maybe if you eat a turkey egg, you are in danger of becoming just as stupid as the turkey...

And NO, I didn't just eat a turkey egg!! hehe

Date: 12/11/2003 11:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Turkeys are not real intelligent. Neither are chickens, for that matter. I'll never forget my uncle Frank telling about when he bought a bunch of turkeys. The turkeys would stick their heads out through the chicken wire fence and owls would swoop down and munch-out on turkey brains. He said he lost four out of twelve the first night...lol...I like the wings, myself...Should be a few wild ones up where you are, eh Ducky?..Thanks for the fowl words, SpaceCase..*wink* Write on....

And yeah, my house is full of wild turkeys...and I think there might be a bottle of wild turkey around here somewhere too *wink* Anyhow, I couldn't go to sleep until I made this fowl post...and I didn't get to post for TWO hours...Bad USM!!! Now...I MUST REALLY GO TO BED!!
Date: 12/12/2003 3:54:00 AM  From Authorid: 60052    snopes says turkeys don't let themselves drown in the rain. If they did, turkeys would be extinct.
Date: 12/12/2003 5:54:00 AM  From Authorid: 46320    Oh Stacie, I have no idea! This was a great post, thanks for making me laugh so hard this morning. Be Good...

Date: 12/12/2003 7:09:00 AM  From Authorid: 62410    correction: Fish eggs are considered a DELACEY - a "delicatessen" is an eatery ;-)

No sure where you heard turkeys would drown in the rain ;-) My grandparents had turkeys on their farm and not one of them drownd or did anything dumb -- they are viciously mean though.
Date: 12/12/2003 8:20:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53836    Kysta...I cracked you up??? Thank goodness you're not a turkey egg...you'd have gotten your yolk all over this post!! LOL
Date: 12/12/2003 8:25:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53836    I think the first time I heard about turkeys drowning themselves by looking into the sky when it rains, the same time I learned about sheep doing the same thing by drinking up-stream...I think it was in Sunday school, though I'm not sure what the exact lesson was...and no...turkeys wouldn't be extinct...it's not like everytime it rains, they all look up/drown...besides, farmers of America would never let that happen!
Date: 12/12/2003 8:31:00 AM  From Authorid: 53284    I was so impressed by the title....Cute post.
