He ran his warm fingers over her cold face
He took her body and gave it warm embrace
She said not a word, she blinked not an eye
He watched her sleep so silently, it almost made him cry
He pushed back the tears as he pushed back her hair
He kissed the lips on the face so fair
He took her breath away
She could not make a sound
She could taste his bloody lips
It was as if her arms were bound
He held her hand near his chest, he felt her fingers grow colder
He felt her heartbeat against his palm, he laid his head upon her shoulder
He whispered in her ear, wondering if she could understand
He didn't mean to do this, it was never planned
It was only on this day he decided what he would do
They day she decided that he and she were through
He took her breath away
She could not make a sound
She could taste his bloody lips
It was as if her arms were bound
As he watched her lips turn blue, he tucked her into bed
Took a wet cloth and wiped the blood off her head
Wrapped her in her bloody clothes, kissed her lifeless cheek
Washed his sin off the knife, the evidence would be oblique
He walked out of her room, quietly shut the door
Said that she got what she wanted, he'd bother her no more
He took her breath away
She could not make a sound
She could taste his bloody lips
