I am 28, but when I was under twenty I spent a couple of years working in supermarkets stacking shelves for money, until I got an apprecnticeship in computers, which is what I now work in. Most people find their work to be quite tedious, and it is the people you work with that make work bearable. If you want to look for a first (proper) job, then go for your strengths, whether it be a talent, or your personality. Good luck  |

Well I am 16 but I don't work yet. I don't have enough time to work and plus it would be too hard for me without my lisencse yet. I am going to get a summer job though. Look at the local restaurants and fast food places. You could also work at hotels but some only let you work on the weekends so that wouldn't be much money.  |

Yep, on the water on a barge. I'm part of a drilling crew, and my dads my boss. It's a night shift (6pm-6am). It was tough the first couple nights, but I got the hang of it now. Do I enjoy it? Well honestly, no one does. But the pay and benefits is alot better then most places around here.  |

I've got a summer job already..Silly.. I'm not 15 yet, so I can't really work but I do work at stables and stuff. That's what I'll be doing during the summer and this year.

I currently work in the kitchen at a resturant. Its not so bad, its a job and money for the time being.  I enjoy the people, they are really awesome, and the works not too bad, I just know that its not what I will do with the rest of my life.  |

I am 14, in the summer I am going to be starting a job at my mom's company. I'll be purging charts in medical records. I take all the old charts out from like 99 and lower and put them in a box and move all the new charts over to make room for more. It's an ok job, makes me some money. That's all I really need :-) hehehe good luck!  |

i'm having the exact same trouble! I'm 16, and all i want is a job over the summer, and i cant get one! grrr they have all been taken. but in January i'm getting a job at the rest home i used to work at, they have just built a huge new one!! yay..well good luck for you pix  |

I am 17 now, and for the lsat 3 years i have worked in a supermarket as a check out chick and i love it...its not a big shopping centre, so you know everyone who works there, and i have become good friends with most of the girls (and boys) who work there....i also work at a recreational centre, one day a week, which i really enjoy because i get to interact with so many different people! Before that i was about 12 when i worked in a centre coaching young people squash, and i really liked that too...i just love working with young kids...ummm if ya looking for a job see if you can find one which you will enjoy (something which interests you...like sport interested me) i was also a netball umpire! for a little while!  |
