On a Christmas tree, I prefer colored lights. But that's what I grew up with. White/clear wouldn't be so bad if you had a theme or whatever .. For outside decorations, i like the white/clear. Icicle lights look really nice! |

i like all kinda lights but on my tree...they have to be clear. and i only put red balls, light gold balls and apples on my tree. i dont like my tree lights to blink either. to me all of those colors blinking and flashing are tacky LOL and i dont put an angel on my tree. I put a big bow. I have nothing against angels, but everytime i put an angel on my tree she decides to take a flying leap lol |

In the honor of my husbands father we have bought blue icicle twinkling lights as well as 4 strings of blue. We also have 2 strings of clear. My Christmas tree is fiber optic and it came ready with a multi color wheel for lights, but after a day I took it out and put the clear light wheel in. It looks fabulous. Clear twinkling lights, tiny red bows and large ed and silver bows. Icicle garland (the single strings of silver garland) And a fiber optic white cloaked angel on top. Looks like a tree you would see in a fancy magazine. |

The multicolor ones look really neat, especially the big old fashioned bulbs strung outside on fir trees with snow over them. The bulbs glowed in rainbow colors through the snow. This is a great memory of Christmas from the '60's. |

Where are the fat ones! The fat colored ones! All the lights are so small now, there used to be some really fat colored ones, I want to see some of those again. I'm a girl for color, but someone in the neighborhood at home home had a blue and white display it was quite cool! |

I've been thru them all, but at the end of the day... the classiest and the cheapest are the plain clear ones with no gimmicks. |

B.Monkey13 the big fat bulbs come from the 60's and before. They would be really hard to find now. Growing up in the 60's, I lived in Monona, Wisconsin. We had a row of fir trees in front of our home. Every year, we put up strings of big fat lights on these trees. At night glowing through the snow, they looked great. The newer ones don't have the same effect. Sighhh. |

I like the fat multi colored light. When I was little we would put the fattest lights on the bottom of the tree and the smaller fat ones (lol) on the top. We had 3 different sizes of the fat ones, I miss those lights. Im not much on the little lights they have out now. Im good with most any lights really, but I cant stand the runner lights! |
