This is a true story from some 30 years ago. I helped with vacation bible school that year. Our old pastor had retired after many years in the ministry. In his honor, a portrait of him and his wife was placed on the wall in the narthex (thats the lobby outside the sactuary). A little boys in bible school looked at the picture of the former minister and his wife and asked "Is that God and his Mother?" It still makes me smile.
