Just go in there and do your best Misty..that's all you can do, and as long as you try your hardest, you should be just fine. |

I agree with lady luck. As long as YOU know you did your best then nothing else matters. I was in band from 6th to 12th grade, I know what it's like to have to play in front of everyone and not exactly know all the music. Just go in there and play. Don't think about the grade. Good luck!

If you think that you "can't" you won't do it, but if you think that you "CAN" then you will. Visualize yourself Playing the French horn perfectly everytime you pick it up, and before you know it those hard parts will be gone. |

I tried to play the trombone all threwout school and was never very good...i only knew 3 scales and could barely play the music. I know it can be diffacult, but if you enjoy it then don't let it bother you now, know that with practice will get better (I never practiced). Hmmm...I know my words wernt much consalation so.... if you want right as you start to play ill jump in with my trombone and play the most horrible rendition of the music your saposed to play.... so in the confusion and fury of getting me the heck out of there they will forget all about you...and even if they don't...anything would sound awsome after me .......deathletgo |

Hmmm. Well all you can do is keep trying. If you can't get the notes write down the fingering next to the note on your paper. Start out slow so you can work on the fingering and work on the rythme later. If you can't get the slurs don't slur it yet until you can. Just tell your teacher that you have been working on it and you still can't get it right but you are going to continue to work on it |

No you won't die. You just say that you're still learning so so it may sound like a cat in heat. So!!! Any sound you do make will sound good compared to that. |

i know what you mean about the french horn. i went from flute to marching french horn and all was fine. it was easy. then concert season came and they made me trade my marching horn in on a concert horn. first of all i couldnt get my hand cupped right to make it sound like anything that resembled music! next thing is that i just didnt like it. i went back to my flute AND FAST! i feel for ya hon, but hang in there. Just do the best you can and if anyone says anything tell them to bite ya LOL |

Yeah! I play the flute too and, for me, it's the only instrument I feel comfortable with. I recently went to see Mary Youngblood play. She's a famous NatAm flute player. So cool! |
