Date: 11/28/2003 11:12:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hi TommyGurl I proposed to Mrs. Kronk on I10 east, doing seventy-five mph and trying to make the 11:30 PM deadline that her dad set for me to have her back home...lol..She said, "Yes..I'll marry you. If you don't run into the back of that semi. Watch out!!!!"...lol..I don't think "the where," makes much difference, it's the love that means everything..*wink* (that was thirty-two years ago) Write on...
Date: 11/28/2003 11:14:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 36687    Thank you so much Kronk! Thats cute lol poor girl musta been scared out of her mind ....lol you sound like you drive like one of my close guy friends LOL he's always riding the bumper of another car! :P
Date: 11/28/2003 11:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 22275    I have 2 different ways that i would LOVE to be proposed to with. One, I want the guy to come banging on my door in the middle of the night and when i open it i want him to say "If you dont marry me tonight ill die" or I want him to take me somewhere important, like where we first kissed or to the mission inn at christmas time because i love the lights somewhere with some personal signifigance and he has to have a ring inside a wonderball! just because i think that would be awesome!
Date: 11/28/2003 11:27:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 36687    Awwww Thats cute Meow Mix I would love to be proposed to under the stars while its snowing... but I'm not for sure where lol..just somewhere under the stars... Thank you for your reply
Date: 11/29/2003 12:05:00 AM  From Authorid: 53052    i think the proposal should be something that represents the couple not this huge lavish on the scoreboard or a million rose petals scattered all over the floor
Date: 11/29/2003 12:06:00 AM  From Authorid: 51587    Me i want it someplace where me and my guy is together..doesnt really matter where...just has long as we are together and love each other enough to marry each other...but like under an pretty starry night, or on the lake on an nice night. lol i just love night time if its nice outside..so outside at night basicy *huggs*
Date: 11/29/2003 1:53:00 AM  From Authorid: 53558    I wish I could help you out, Tommy Gurl, but I haven't any ideas. Great big hugs. Take care.
Date: 11/29/2003 5:18:00 AM  From Authorid: 58334    I would LOVE to be proposed to at night in the rain by a pond where you can hear the rain hitting off the water :-) Also, anything unexpected, like what Meow Mix said. I love that idea too
Date: 11/29/2003 7:40:00 AM  From Authorid: 49172    I would LOVE to be proposed to while on a picinic. *giggles* I think it would be UBER romantic. Just anything thats well thought out. But one thing I wouldn't be able to stand is the whole "at a basketball game and on the mega-board 3000 up pops Katie Will You Marry Me?" It seems so cheesy.. lol
Date: 11/29/2003 8:20:00 AM  ( Admin )   Let's see, romantic proposals. I proposed to Ginger the first time we talked on the telephone. We talked once before, for about 1 minute. I had a lot of girlfriends but I just knew it was going to be her. We were both 15 (we obviously had to wait) but she accepted. I have proposed to her a thousand times since then over our 30+ years of marrage. I think it's a good thing to refresh the whole concept of "if you will take me to be your mate" frequently just to remember that it doesn't have to be that way and that you have to be that someone they want to be married to.
Date: 11/29/2003 8:37:00 AM  From Authorid: 61946    Admin....That is soooo awesome. I am like you, I don't think you have to know a person real well to know that you love them and that you want to marry them. Congradulations on being married so many years, I do hope you have many more loving years with your lady.
Date: 11/29/2003 9:36:00 AM  From Authorid: 11341    Hubby and I were laying on his bed listening to Bad Company talking about what ever. Then he starts to breath a little funny, starts to stammer on words and looked like he was gonna be sick lol. Then he says "what do you think about going shopping for a ring?" He never actually asked me to marry him, I said are you asking me to marry you and he said yes LOL. It doesnt matter where you are or if 1000 people are there to see it. Its romantic as long as he doesnt say something like Im gonna ask you to marry me on Tuesday.
Date: 11/29/2003 1:14:00 PM  From Authorid: 62424    lmao...I dont know...Im only 13...it was cool reading all the other authors replies however...very romantic
bye bye *big hugs to all*

Date: 11/29/2003 1:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 28190    My husband proposed to me at a Karaoke place that we went to every Saturday night until it closed (which was a few months ago) Nakoma got a man that is a wonderful singer to sing "the keeper of the stars" By Tracey Bird (I think) and then when Gary was finished singing, he handed the Mic to Nakoma. Nakoma and Mom had it all planned out (everyone knew but me)and we were the only two on the dance floor dancing. Nakoma Got down on one knee and said,"Ever since the first time we danced, I have loved you. Will you marry me?" Of course I was in tears and Said yes through them It was very romantic and it meant so much too because of all the planning that mom and he went through to make it a beautiful experience. We were married just last month on October 25th And as others here said, it doesnt really matter where, and when.. It's the love that is shared between the couple that makes the experience beautiful AND romantic *huge hugs*
Date: 11/29/2003 4:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 19682    Well, one that I wished I thought of is that I live in Northern Kentucky so the Suspension Bridge was put to use.

A lady from my daughter's dance class years ago said her sister's boyfriend was on the Ohio side and asked the sister on the Kentucky side to meet him halfway across the bridge.

She not knowing other than a fun day being together, did this. He got down on his knee with the traffic whizzing by and asked her. Of course she said yes. Knowing these people was so romantic. Other people not advising that due to ulterior motives possibly.
