This has something I'd been wondering for ages! I don't get it either. I have kids in my grade (10th) who like him, such as his music. But He is quite scary looking. I don't thik I'd ever want to meet him. |

I dont like him.... I never have, even when I little. I always thought he was scary and my mother always says that his greatest 'album' (what are those? lol) was Thriller and then he just stopped making good ones. I think he should be locked up, just for being messed up. |

If I was a dying child and I could be granted one dying wish, it would be to meet Joni, and she hasn't had a hit in years. And Michael has had a hit in years, but I forget what it's called. I love Michael, despite his kinky affection towards children. I can see why kids would want to meet him; if I was a kid, I'd love to go to the Neverland Ranch, regardless of Michael's ugliness. And of course I'd go for sleepovers, unless he was going to try something volatile on me. I'd still do it today. |

I think I read he has a #1 song in England right now..so I know he is still putting out hits in Europe, but not here in the US...that one song with Lisa Marie in the video was the last hit I can remember him having here. Thriller was really a fantastic album..I honestly don't see Michael Jackson as being "cool", so it surprises me kids and even teenagers still have any interest in him. |

Just read on the Drudge report that Rallies and candle light vigils are scheduled through the weekend in more than a dozen cities, including New York, Budapest and Rome in support of Jackson. Others were planned over the next week in China and Australia. This just totally surprises me. |

I don't know anyone now who likes or listens to his music. I still have his Thriller album with his picture on it that my oldest daughter left behind among her many boxes of leftovers from her younger years. Quite a difference from the way he looks today compared to that album cover. I suspect some parents may even be guilty of the knowledge of his past generosity to dying kids, but this is pure speculation just based on past events. Few children today are as aware of who is as are the parents. Again, I admit speculation. Neverland seems to be a huge hit for the those kids also. Although I'm not sure why a petting zoo would be at the top of a dying child's list of things to do. Both my husband and I volunteer for Make a Wish foundation locally and I personally have never known one child who has asked to visit Michael's Neverland. |

LMAO!! She is pretty scary. Michael does look like a chick, an ugly chick in fact. I don't know the answer to you question either. I only like a couple of his songs and those are his old songs. But other than that, I really don't give a dookie about him. |

Shadow Ghost, I think you may be on to something. Seems like maybe the parents are urging the kids in that direction because of the money? I don't know, I'd hate to think of anyone being that calculating when it comes to their sick child, but sadly nothing surprises me anymore. |

I don't get it either He is nt popular with my nephews at all they like Hillary Duff and Shai Boueff among others Not Michael Jackson and then their are that child's parents why would they allow their child alone with anyone they did not know well and knew that they could trust with the child especially someone with MJ's background. I would never in a million years allowed my son alone with him even if it was his wish to meet him I would have accompanied him they entire time |

Mrs Strider, especially when he admitted on national tv that he slept with the children. Maybe they could plead ignorance before than...but not after. I can't imagine letting an adult male who isn't related to me sleep with my son. Heck, when my daughter was about 3 she spent the night with her Aunt (who isn't married) and was made to sleep on the floor even though she wanted in the bed with my sister-n-law. |

I just have to say this..I have a best firend she hs 2 girls..I am really close with her kids..If they were to come over and stay the night ans asked: Aunty can I sleep woth you?" I would defenitly say yes! Does that make me a wacko>>> No..I think not. I'll even let my own kids crawl in bed with me I see nothing wrong with it. If he is guilty of what they say he is then I hope he frys..But if he is innocent I hope he learns a lesson and takes a look at his life and his strange behaviors. I think he needs a shrink. |

Cory, I didn't think there was anything wrong with my daughter sleeping with her Aunt either, but that was my sister-n-laws choice and I respect her for that. Of course when it is your own kids or someone who considers you an Aunt I think that is very different. Maybe I'll get in trouble for saying this...but men are different!! They aren't normally cuddlers, especially with kids who aren't there own. Can you imagine your 10 year old son going to any males house, relative or not, famous or not, and cuddling in bed with him and being given warm milk and read bed time stories with lite candles and the fire place going as Michael said he does?? I think not. The candles and fire place thing is creepy and sounds more like a seduction is taking place rather than a child being put to bed. |

Leppy, the point is, Michael is no longer hugely famous here in the United States to the younger generation. Most kids I know have no interest in him, have never heard of the neverland ranch, have never heard a Michael Jackson song expect on the oldies station and usually have outgrown going to petting zoos as a wish by the time they are (about) 8. |

It's the parents who 'like' MJ. They are from the MJ era... ex child fans. MJ should stop all contact with kids, shut down Neverland and if he wants to help kids he can send money to the poor Indian reservations. |

Kids are just different I guess. My cousin likes Don Henley or something, I don't know anyone who likes him. I also know a lot of people who like older music. Maybe the kid's parents used to listen to Michael Jackson, or maybe they still do. When I was younger my mom listen to Poison. I LOVED Poison and I was only like 3 or 4. I still like Posion today. Maybe the kid sees past the skin, they usually do. Wasn't it from a disease anyways? Maybe that could be why. Something in common? |
