for cheerleading we are doing secret santas. i'm a sophomore... and our minimum is $20! i personally think that's a lot... i work 3 hours a week. i have to buy presents for 16 other friends here, presents for family, and presents for the friends who moved away/are far away (4 of them) $30 a week is NOT going to pay for all that! grr they don't get that i can't exactly pay for it and they're like "oh... well we have to pay for it so you have to too" GRRR rant rant rant...

Date: 11/22/2003 6:14:00 PM  ( Admin-FA )   Seems kind of decent, but you're right you have a lot of people to buy for and this is just adding someone else ontop of the list.. Just get em' a gift certificate to a music store or something... Make it easy on you and them.
Date: 11/22/2003 9:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 5252    seriously, if you find something cute, buy it, who cares if it doesn't meet the 'price limit' it is the thought that counts, not the price value.
Date: 11/22/2003 9:41:00 PM  From Authorid: 53909    I remember having a secret santa when I was in the 6th grade. My santa was a guy sitting next to me and every time I had a present on my desk he would pretend that he knew what was inside the present, LOL! Sadly he passed away a couple years ago. I never bought anything too spendy, stuff like stickers, candy, and other cheap and cute stuff. Like what Hyperchick said, it's the thought that counts
Date: 11/23/2003 7:58:00 AM  From Authorid: 20296    it might take work, but stores have clearance on a lot of cute stuff. I would go and look around. either that, or ask your coach if you could just not participate this year. you wont get a gift, but wont have to give one either. whoa! 30 dollars a week is some good allowence. you should have been saving:P my kid is lucky to get five:P
Date: 11/23/2003 1:56:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 36757    OOPS i meant $30 every OTHER week from work. the vast majority of my money is in the bank. i probably have $50 here... i get paid this friday. we went around in a circle saying what we wanted, but the girl who i have has mono and wasn't there... so now i don't know what she would want. *sigh*
