Ahhh.. I love music.. Korn is my favorite band, I absolutley LOVE them. Full of anger, sadness, pain... Emotions that are real and that everyday people feel, it's comforting music in my opinion. I love Aerosmith... How'd I go to Korn to Aerosmith?! Hehehe.. They are awesome, upbeat rock songs, nicely written lyrics..They are fun songs (Give or take some songs..) I love my friend's band.. The band is called Neglected, they are from South Carolina (If your from there check em' out!!) The music from what I've heard is aboslutley incredible. Hard rock music.. Filled with emotion and anger also.. The gutiarist is one of my closests friends, |

Coheed & Cambria is excellent... so is Senses Fail, although Buddy could use some work with his voice. My favorite band is Tool, because their music has changed my outlook on life in more ways than I can count. And because that music is simply the most amazing thing to ever come out of a speaker. I don't limit myself to a single genre... I listen to everything from metal, to electronica, to industrial, to emo, etc. Fun stuff, all of it. |

I really don't enjoy emo. Everyone here is into emo, screamo and hardcore. The only screamo/emo that I like is Moneen and Alexisonfire. But I love the blues. It's so raw and you can put so much emotion into it. Well you can with any kind of music, but it is truly exemplified in the blues. Just listen to Crossroads by Robert Johnson. Stevie Ray Vaughan is orgasmic. John Lee Hooker keeps your feet thumpin' and Muddy Waters is a god. True musicians know how to play jazz just like they know the back of their hand. Jazz is sophisticated and demands a lot of musical know-how. Listen to Wes Montgomery or Miles Davis. Those are musicians. Good old Rock and Roll, types like Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Little Richard know how to get the party started. Jerry Lee and Little Richard in particular held a divinity when it came to the piano, and Elvis sang like an angel. Chuck Berry blew it right out of the water with his guitar skills. He is the grandfather of Rock and Roll. Everyone copied his style. The Beatles are my personal mentors; there is no other band that I would not want to live without knowing. They have influenced me in so many ways that their music has made me the person I am today. John and Paul are masters of songwriting. I find Paul's potential is really brought out in "I Will" and "Black Bird". George is awesome and quite frankly the most attractive. He handles the guitar better than any other Beatle, and is critically acclaimed as one of the best slide guitarists. Jimmy Page of Zeppelin is incredible. He is so versatile, yet most of his songs are in the key of A. I also love folk music. One name; Joni Mitchell. Listen to her now. She is the most talented musician I have ever listened to. Her voice is BEAUTIFUL, and I cannot describe how freakingly good she is at writing songs. Her harmonies are intense. She is also a talented guitarist as well, but you kind of have to know a bit about guitar before you can make any realizations about that. Paul Simon is a lyrical god, and I love listening to Simon and Garfunkel. I wish I could write half as good as him. "The Dangling Conversation" makes me cry. Tim Buckley is not quite a Joni Mitchell equivalence, but he comes close. He has such a nice voice. I could go on forever here.... but if you want to listen to QUALITY music, download any of the bands I have listed up there. I am unsure if you'll like them, because they are pretty different from today's music. My personal opinion on that is that these people actually have skill and talent, unlike the crap that you find on the charts. There are like three bands out today that actually have some musical intelligence; Radiohead, The White Stripes (to a degree anyways, not very much), and The Red Hot Chili Peppers (but they suck nowadays). So there is my sermon for the night. I'm not even proof reading this. |

Oh god, how could I forget Radiohead? Anyone who hasn't heard Hail to the Thief: get to Circuit City and buy it. Now. It deserves your respect. Yes... yes it does. |

I've never really heard any "emo" bands, but I'm sure they must have some good in them. I enjoy what is, I guess, called "goth" music. Ah, wait, I do like one artist that is described as "emo-mystic" sumthin, sumthin...yep. Her name is Molly Zenobia. Brilliant artist. Eric Mcfadden is folk, "American gypsy blues". I also like Cober% Vampire Beach Babes ("goth surf". Amoree Lovell is Cabaret music, and the Circus contraption is, uh...well, circus music. Hungarian/Turkish Violin music is relaxing. I also like New Wave stuff...like the Cure, early Depeche Mode, and Ah...too many others. -DevilsRoad- |

Oh yeah...I tend to stay away from "Mainstream". My so far favorite band, is called DEVIL DOLL. It's like 40s jazz music, with a sort of punk edge, gone modern. -DevilsRoad- |
