*~* Please, Don't SPAM Your Family and Friends! *~* Hey,Hey,Paula

Whenever I receive one of those forwarded e-mail chain letters I do a snope search to see if it's bogus or not.

Well, I recently received one that is talked about in the following link. While it can't be verified if the current message is true, I was impressed by the story at the end.

There is power in prayer and that fact, is not bogus.

Have a great one!

P.S. If you forward posts to your friends and family, please, use Bc: for their addresses. This will prevent broadcasting their e-mail addressess out there for people that you and I don't know to see and swallow up to use for SPAM. Thanks!

Also, if you're going to share be nice and copy and paste instead of sending a kibillion forwards and <<<carrots>>>

Date: 11/21/2003 7:51:00 AM  From Authorid: 10722    I usually delete anything I get from family, spam or no spam...LOL

Date: 11/21/2003 7:57:00 AM  From Authorid: 54570    any email that says forward to so many peeps and you will have luck or even chain emails I delete... especially if I see Fwd.Fwd.Fwd on them. Just think you are giving a hacker somewhere out there a nice list of peoples addy's as long as you continue to resend out chain email. I will not argue about the power of prayer though. But Espam I will.
Date: 11/21/2003 8:03:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53961    I have two e-mail addresses primarily that I use. One for all those people and companies I trust and the other I use for genealogy and those I don't trust. The latter, gets all the SPAM while the other doesn't get any. I have the latter on a website with my family tree and on genealogy message boards so it gets "spidered". I do however trust my genealogy friends. They aren't the ones doing it.
Date: 11/21/2003 8:08:00 AM  From Authorid: 47930    great post i agree so much, i do how ever have a question for you. what is the bc and where do you put it? just in case i ever need to do that. thank you
Date: 11/21/2003 10:28:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53961    It means "Blind Copy". It is by where the To: is. See it? It should give you a choice TO:, CC: or BC:
Date: 11/21/2003 10:30:00 AM  From Authorid: 29532    all spam and chain letters, and forwards and jokes......all of it gets deleted before I ever read it. I just want to scream to people, don't SEND ME this CRAP! I just don't care. I hate spam.
Date: 11/21/2003 10:45:00 AM  From Authorid: 22433    oooohhhh i HATE that! it drives me nuts having to scroll through 50 billion forwards before I even get to the message, which usually is like, two lines long and hardly worth the scrolling time. Good post!
Date: 11/21/2003 12:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 54570    I did the same too. Had two hotmail accounts and one was entirely junk email the other was clean. Somehow those spammers got my clean email addy and began filling it up. Problem is I never gave my addy out to any comapny or signed up at any website. I think they pulled it from chain letters.

Date: 11/21/2003 5:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 20296    I hate those things....I mean, come on. you love me, yet you are sending something to me that if i ignore, I will die or be cused with bad luck until my dying day. yea...so sweet...delete:P
Date: 11/21/2003 6:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 26227    I just hate fowarded e-mails. when I get them I copy all of the names and send it straight back to all of the people that sent it.
Date: 11/21/2003 7:33:00 PM  From Authorid: 46486    I have one friend who always sends me forwards >
Date: 11/22/2003 1:30:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53961    I was just thinking HB, instead of sending back with a copy, just use "reply all" and put in CAPS "PLEASE REMOVE MY NAME FROM YOUE SPAM MAILING LIST!!!
Date: 11/22/2003 6:28:00 AM  From Authorid: 53054    LOLZ some forwards i dont mind recieving...its when the other companies get a hold of it, and when people send you info on stuff i really dont care about! ahhhhhh annoying! *hugz*
Date: 11/22/2003 6:33:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53961    In the food world "Spam" and "Treat" are the same thing and I can't stand either. SPAM is NOT a Treat!
