hmm. i use to love mcdonalds, but the last time i ate there, they put so much salt on my food. that it just really did something to top of mouth, like the salt scorched the roof of my mouth it was horrble. i stopped going to mcdonalds. i just dont wanna deal with their salt.  |

I am sorry that this happened to you and your family...I would not be happy either...If I was to take my son to McDonald to play for a bit after he eats...And have to listen to there potty mouths and smell smoke...I think I would of done the same thing you did...And like someone else here said..McDonald is for the kids and it is not a hang out....**Big Canadian Hugs**  |

That was not cool of what the teenagers were doing. I'm a smoker and I wouldn't ever smoke in an area where children are at. I can't even smoke around people that don't smoke because I get uncomfortable about it and I just don't want to be around anyone that doesn't smoke. I'm a cusser sometimes and I always watched what I saw around children of all ages, even around older people. People are just so disrespectful and it sickens me.  |

I remember Jay Leno making a joke about how McDonalds got upset because merriam webster put a new word in their dictionary called "McJob" meaning a low paying job. And he said as if anyone who works at McDonalds can read a dictionary..LOL |

Good for you! I can't stand it when people smoke either... always sit in the non-smoking section, and while I have to admit that I do need to work on curbing my own swearing habits, I NEVER swear around children... and when I hear people swearing around or at their children, it pretty much has the same effect on me as nails on a chalkboard. Especially when the child has good reason to be upset... I know what you mean too about the whole cup of water thing, too. What I like is that a lot of fast food places are going to the self-serve drink things... what I will do is ask for a large cup, stating that I want a large cup, intending that I'm willing to pay for ice and water. Sometimes, if its a place that has self-serve drinks, too... I'll give my mom my big drink cup that I get with my meal, and take the small drink cup for myself to get the diet soda for me. Then when she's finished, I fill it up with soda before we're ready to hit the road. Just an idea. Glad you said something though... I would have loved to have seen those ignorant swearing smokestacks get chewed out!

The employees that smoke should not be in the play area, especially with children. We don't have a play area at our McDonalds, but if we did I hope they would put a no smoking sign BUT it is outside, and right now smoking outside is still legal, and it's not like they were smoking in the resturant. I don't agree on it, but if it was outside it would be hard to do anything about it.  |
