Part 2: Story of a Bard....

The days grew long
and boring for the
young bardess.

She grew weary of
wandering alone and
wished for some
companions.

The Kindred Souls,
a Guild of races
heard of this
marvelous bard
and searched her
out.

The leader of that
mighty guild found
her that day under
a wilting willow
tree singing a
tale of a brave
young lad saving
a beautiful priestess.

A lovely tale it is
you sing, a young
bard do you be?

Startled Ashtone stopped
her song and tried to
scramble away.

Oh my, i am dreadfully
sorry for startling you
so, but your song was
most alluring...

She calmed down and
listened to his words.
And saw that he was an
half elf as well.
Then thought of a
response.

Aye m'lord i am a
bard but young i not
be, she replied haughtily.

Haha, said the man who
caught her singing merrily.

What might you be
M'Lord for i have
shared what i am.

He thought a moment
then smiled, oh i'm
just a rusty old
Ranger who loves
the sound of beautiful
things, and your song
was most beautiful M'Dear.

Ashtone blushed most
prettily, I am called
Ashtone Mysticmelody..
but you may call me Ashtone
or just plain Ash will
do as well.

Very well young one, i
shall call you Ashtone
and you can call me
Savaryen or Sava for
short as my guild
likes to call me.

Ash's ears perked up,
Lord Savaryen what is
this guild you spoke
of?

Young you must be!,
laughed the ranger.
A guild is a group
of people, eyeing her
expression he continued,
yes little one a guild
of people of every race
and skill. My own guild
is called The Kindred Souls.

Her eyes widened at his
words and she spoke her
next few words very fast.

You mean, Darkelfs
and Lizardmen, Barbarians
and Humans, Woodelfs and
Highelfs, Dwarfs and even
Gnomes??? Halflings and
and and even other Halfelfs
too??????

Sava chuckled and nodded.

Other skills, she pondered.
What other skills could
he mean. She spoke her
question outloud to him.

He grinned and said, Oh
well theres Wizards and
Mages, Shamans and Druids,
Clerics and Paladins, Warriors
and Shadowknights, Necromancers
and Rangers, oh and yea we
even have other Bards as well!

Sava could see the little
bards mind working and
thought to himself, i've
got her now she'll soon
be wearing the kindred souls
tag. He smiled to himself.

She then looked up at him
with pleading eyes and spoke
to him.. could i please
join this guild of people?
I'll study harder at my skill
and well i just would like
to see all these people
you have spoken of!!

He pretended like he was
thinking the idea over,
well.... hmmmm....
he eyed her up and down
saw her pleading eyes and
stopped his little game. I
s'pose we have room for a
little halfelf bardess to
grow with us.

She pounced on him and
gave him a huge hug!
Thankyou thankyou thankyou
thankyou!!! she said over
and over and over.

Ash then felt a small
tugging at her mind
and heard a lot of
different voices
saying welcome to our
home and welcome to the
family!!

She looked afraid for
second then knew what it
was. Those are people of
the guild?? Sava nodded She
whooped with delight and
placed her fingers to her
temple and replied with a
hearty hello and thankyou to
sava for inviting her.

She couldn't wait till
she could get to know
every one of them!

Sava held his hand out
to her, she eyed him
then shot an eyebrow up.

It's time to go he said,
people are waiting to
meet this new bard within
our family and there are
things to waiting to be
killed!

She grabbed his hand and
they started off. She
was so very happy that
she now had others to
meet up with she couldn't
wait!
