Hey Everyone... I decided to write a post about net scams. Now your probably like I will never be held a sucker so I am not worried about it. Well these cons are getting good. They are now sending e-mails that say stuff like go to www.bankofamerica.com and confirm your account. So your follow that link and it looks just like Bank of America but it's not! They can mask the domain name. Never confirm this online. My mother did this with Paypal not listening to me ERRR. She got lucky. My good friend started going around a free dating personals site. He meet a Thai lady who said she was a refugee and needed free from a snake head and all this really sad stuff. He kept on talking to her. Well then she wanted to visit him. Well I told him not to send her any money! He told me I was being an unsupportive friend and we got into a fight. Needless to say he ended up sending this person close to 1800 bucks and they never showed up. This is a hot scam. The number one advice I have found is do not confirm any passwords and what ever you do! DO NOT SEND MONEY WESTERN UNION TO ANYONE! Man western union must be getting rich off these scammers. I have read thousands of stories of guys who got scammed just like my friend. This is not a chain letter or urban legend. This comes from my personal accounts with my own eyes. You are probably saying your friend was a sucker. I wouldn't do that. Let me tell you this con was good. At playing on every sympathy thing you were taught since the womb. I just feel bad he is gonna have to get 2 jobs to pay his loan back now. Anyway thought I would share.
