Get the Goods on Firstborn!! ha, ha, ha!!! ;o)

What to say about Firstborn? Well, she's a gal with a strong will that's for sure! That's a good thing though, especially when a person's intentions are in the right place, just as FB's are.

As most people know, there was a "Servant For The Day" auction last week. Firstborn has been my master this week but she's done more for me than I have for her. She wrote a beautiful poem for me, which means so much. It's true that as her servant I must honor her accomplishments on USM in a post but I can tell you that what I write here, comes from the heart.

I know, first hand, how much Firstborn can do for someone willing to let her help. Even though she's a very busy lady, always doing something for either her husband, daughters and grandbabies...she still makes time for friends.

When I first became a member here and noticed FB's comments in debates and discussions, I was a bit intimidated by her. Not because she seemed "untouchable" but because she was so knowledgeable about her passion. Her passion seemed to be to spread the word of God and the true meaning of his message to as many as possible.

My intimidation was nothing but my own insecurities and irrational fears coming through. After getting to know her, I realized that she wasn't trying to make anyone feel any less knowledgeable than her, on the contrary, she only wanted share what she's learned about God and the Bible with as many as possible. Her motivation in life is to show others how much God loves them and that he's the key to their happiness. What's wrong with that? Nothing in my opinion.

I know she's helped many members here on USM. In the past, I've spoken with a few members about their spiritual issues and when I know their problem or concern is "out of my league," I suggest that they speak with FB. She was more than happy to assist. Another trait of hers that's meant so much for me is that she's never judged me or said anything derogatory about anything I've ever told her. She's helped me with problems and has offered her prayers many times. She will always offer her prayers to anyone and everyone, when ever need be.

She's made a difference in my life and in the life of many and for that I, and I’m sure many others, say, "thank you." I hope she continues to be who she is, regardless of what she may confront because without her wisdom and friendship on USM, many would feel a GREAT loss.
