You, My Shattered Star <RegretfulHalo>

My sky's full of exploding stars,
blown out like candles; broken
like so many panes of cheap glass.
Under this cracking eternity I wait
and watch the heavens fly apart,
raining starlight and memory onto you.
Your skin is glowing in the dark,
etheral and iridescent, covered in
the dust of our could-be future.
Moondust kisses linger on your
fading face, and I smile at you-
you, my wonderful, shattered star.
In this sky, the light between us
must fade into darkness, but I can
find you in another heaven.
Your broken starlight will
guide me straight into our future.
Laughing I let you fade, burnt out.
You are the loveletter I write
to the world in my broken sky.
