I had one friend who died of a drug overdose; another friend who had her children taken away because she abuses drugs; my own brother went into rehab to get off of drugs; my uncle uses marijuana and doesn't think he's doing anything wrong; my aunt also smokes marijuana; I watched my best friend trip out the first time she tried acid and threw up on my shoes; and finally that same friend ended up giving birth to a still-born baby because of her drug use while she was pregnant.  |

There is a girl I used to work with that would get headaches all the time. She got hooked on perscription drugs. Her worked suffered alot because of it. She had to go into rehab, it was awful. Our friendship is not the same, I lost alot of respect for her.  |

Just recently I had a friend that was a few yrs younger than I, that I taught to skate when he was little, and we were always close, die of an Oxycotin Overdose.  I didnt post on it because I havent had time, but he was only 18 yrs old.. *shakes head* *hugs*  |

so all together thats seven 2df.I can think of about40 off the top of my head at the moment.that doesnt include the12 I know that died.there was 8 from my graduating class that also died.just between you and me thats 67 people.  |

Since my hubby is an auto mechanic, we hear many sad stories regarding drug overdoses that resulted in death or divorces. There are two family members who are going through a tough time even now because of drug overdoses which resulted in death. A friend of my niece just overdosed and his heart busted as the result. My daughter-in-law just recently went through a terrible time because she blamed herself for her brothers death who had ask her to stop at McDonald's for a bathroom break while they were traveling to a nearby city. When her brother didn't come out of McDonalds in 15 minutes, she went to check on him. To make a long story short, the police were called and they found that he had accidently overdosed and had died.  |

I know more people that I used to be friends with that use too, but I dont know how many still do.. I know of for sure at least 5 that still do. And one of my close friends had been hiding being addicted to Xanax until about 3 1/2 weeks ago and was put into rehab. It took her 12 days to detox, alone, because of all the xanax she had been addicted to. She is doing pretty good now though, has yet to miss one NA meeting. I am the only non-user friend that she has so she has been hanging out with me more often, lately. |

Know drugs quite well unfortunately. I have made no secret of the fact I used to be a user of various drugs many years ago. I have been clean of hard-drugs for 6 years, and completely free of marijuana now for 5 years. Yes, I know many people who are still using and abusing...many people who have been hurt directly or indirectly by drug usage and the crimes that can come along with financing the habits or from actions taken when people are high as a kite. I know a number of people who have ODed, killed themselves, killed others and also those who have been killed by others due to drugs. Currently I work helping people who either once were (or still are) drug-users. I've been a Mental Health Worker for 6 years now, and also do volunteer Alcohol/Drug Rehab work, particularily for Youth...just my way of giving something back ya know...maybe help some young person before they walk down the road I did. i have done drugs, am clean now. my cousin was murdered cause of a deal gone wrong. countless other cousins who cont. to use . my ex fiance{got busted} still uses and dealt drugs, an ex friend of mine cont. to use and her husband{got busted } uses and deals drugs,  |

nearly all of the people that i hang with have done drugs...that include all of my work mates and my friends from school...it is terrible and it would be hard to count them all...i cant believe they dont know what this is doing to them, or they jsut cant care....its really sad and i do feel sorry for them *hugz*  |

I know some people that does drugs..but, to count them..I would probably lose count..My Brother is one...He is the "druggie" in our family..One of my closest friends husband is a drug dealer in these parts of the woods...They have been busted and lost everything they own..but that don't stop them...they still do it...The money is good I guess...Good Post!...**Big Canadian Hugs**  |
