All year long they lie in wait..planning all year for that one week that could make their egos skyrocket. You know who i'm talking about, the uber-popular girls who invade every high school and act as if Homecoming is the highlight of their lives. the festivities started on Monday at my school, but they were lying low that day so i lost my gaurd. but today was campaign day, and the minute i stepped foot on school grounds they pounced. Running over, their salon-highlighted hair bouncing the way I always wanted mine to do, and shieking "vote for me!vote for me!VOTE FOR ME!!",shoving buttons or pins in my face, then smiling their perfect smiles and flouncing away, not noticing the look of terror on my face. i had to beat several potential queens off with my backpack to get into the building. but their was no relief, because over night, in what must have been the work of demonic possesion on their parts, the hallways were plastered wall to wall with posters. "vote for emily, shes the best! Vote for nichole, you know you want to!" were the extent of the creativity on their part. I spent all day lurking the back hallways to escape, but was once attacked by an angry cheerleader who caught me throwing away my Vote for Megan flier. I've spent all evening recovering from massive hair pulling trauma. ShadowGirl How it changed my life:I mean no offense or stereotyping of any person on this site who was/or knows a homecoming queen. this is only my opinion. An tomorrows the pep rally, so lets see if i survive.
