Im here because I cant sleep. You may be thinking "Oh, so you write when you cant sleep?" No I do not...insomnia makes me punch walls, tear at things and bang my head against a wall. The last thing on my mind is writing when I cant sleep, but I havent had trouble sleeping in a long long time. That is until school started.
School is a drag, and the only reason Im still in it is because I know only good will come out of it. And while I feel like Im wasting the prime of my life sitting in a desk 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, that one day things will be better. School is the hardest time in your life, its where you essentially draw the blueprints for your future, more complete, self. Is so great and its true. Those of you still in school will be pleasantly surprised when you see that once you get out and start your life for real, all the things that have been difficult for you can quickly become things that move you forward...and the opposite goes to the rich kids and some jocks that had it easy and rode on their muscles and money throughout school and not their brains...you'll see...Im a senior in HS and I already see.
You know, everyone has hard stuff in their lives, and it sucks, believe me. If you can get yourself to realize that every bad event that takes place in your life can be percieved as a brand new starting point, a new challenge for you, theneventually you'll be strong enough and secure enough with yourself to find that people and their actions (however moronic they may be)are not important enough or capable of halting your progress, goals, and motivations as a human being. Who gives a flying flip about them, live it like you want.
So by now some of you will be saying..read a book, it'll help you sleep, drink warm milk, watch a boring movie..blahblh. I love to read about things I am interested in, but I am starting to dislike reading fiction and novels. I dont understand how someone can say a book is scary...nothing jumps out, theres nothing really shocking or frightening about written words. I also find that its increasingly hard for me to pay attention and most of the time I have to read several pages twice and I cant stand commiting a week to one story when I can see the movie in 90 minutes. I know that books always go into more detail, and are descriptive, and I do like that. Movies are not always my favorites because of the story...sometimes its the smaller things- the lighting, the effects, the film style, the choice of casting...the music; all things a book doesnt have. Im not done yet. Im still awake. And still have a little more to express...
