On 0ct 28. my 45 minute leather presentation. I'm a bundle of nerves right now, but I believe that I am going to do OK. I'm trying to cover all angles. I am also going to include about a 10 compile of movie clips. I'm going to use Matrix, Grease, Easy Rider, Son-In-Law, A Nightmare on Elm St. 3 and Working Girl (just a little second from that. Melanie Griffith was rummaging through Sigourney Weaver's closet and pulls out a $6,500 dress and Joan Cusack goes $6,000???!! It ain't even leather!) at the end of the tape. *I'm discussing where leather comes from and the process of making it. I'm discussing leather alternatives and objections/ers to it like PETA and such *I'm discussing the many uses of leather (couches, sporting goods, car interior)

Does anybody else have any ideas? I also found some quotes, but I was wondering if you had any maybe there is one that I didn't catch. Any help will be nice, thanks. If you have any ideas at all, even if you think that maybe I already have it?

Date: 10/19/2003 3:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 49101    LOL! I work for Bostonian Clarks. (Shoe store) And ALL of our shoes are made of leather. (Well except for the one or two canvas styles we have) and there really isn't anything BETTER than a leather shoe. ALL of my shoes are LEATHER, and I REFUSE to wear canvas or FLEATHER (Fake leather). So if I can help, Let me know!
Date: 10/19/2003 5:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 26598    Well, you could say something about how native americans use to make teepees(homes) out of leather. Could also mention that in El Paso Texas, there are shops that still make tooled designs on leather horse saddles, that can be worth as much as a new mercedes benz.
Date: 10/19/2003 7:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 62395    Leather wallets and such.. Leather is so versitile and durable. Just the mere mention of leather says a something about the buyer. Classy, style. Leather furniture in the home is another way of making a statement. The first time I ever thought about it was the Fonz in Happy Days. Leather is just plain cool. (not in the summer tho..lol
