"Droplets of Emotion"...by Mustang-Renee

It's the salt they crave,
And not the water...
Droplets of emotions,
And their course
To the unquenchable oceans

These ever-thirsty waves,
Swelling and falling...
As they implore the land
With each crashing blow,
Emphasizing their demand

And we come...
Bringing our gifts
To appease the tyrant:

Another broken heart

And, on the rebound

The firstborn child

A silver anniversary

The teenager gone wild

And when down on his luck,

The outstretched hand

That saved him from the truck

This mineral may be extracted
From the likes of any
Everyone is a supplier
And, just like an unwanted penny,
The tears...they fall
