Misty had just pulled up to her house from her date. She got out of the car, a pain shot through her ankle. "OW!" She cried. She looked at her ankle but couldn't see anything because it was so dark. She let herself in the house and snapped on the lights. She knelt to inspect her ankle. It was only a scrap. "Stupid car!" Misty thought, reaching for a bandaged in the bathroom cabinet. Wondering where her parents were, she went to the kitchen and rummaged in the refridgerator for a soda. Upon finding none. she took a glass from the cabinet and filled it up with water. There, Misty found a note taped to the counter. It said: "Misty, we've gone out to eat. Before we get back, fill the fridge up with soda. Love Your parents" "Making me go down to the basement is love? How typical.." Misty griped. Misty HATED the basemet! IT was so creepy. Especially being home alone. She propped open the door with a brick and grabbed a flashlight. She ran down the steps. She found a box of Sprite and turned to walk up the steps, when the door slammed shut. There was crashing noise as the brick tumbled down the steps and crashed to the bottom. "OH FUDGE! NO!" Misty shouted. The doorknob was broken so it was locked all the time. Misty scrambled up the steps. "Riley! Let me out now!" Riley was her ten year old sister who would do anything to annoy Misty or scare her. Misty pounded on the door. When nobody answered she sat down and wept. She was terrified. But at least she still had the flashlight. It suddenly went out. A shadow darted across the stairway. "Riley?" Mistey called shakily. She knew the answer before she was told. "Nope. Guess again." A deep voice bellowed through the darkness. "Who-who are you? Misty stammered. "I'm the ankle slasher," The voice replied. Misty began having flash backs from the cut on her ankle to the note from her parents. "OMG! You killed my parents didn't you!?!?!" Misty shouted. "Very good," Misty didn't cry though because she knew would soon be joining them. He bounded up the steps. He dodged at her with his knife. She ducked and it through the door. He plundged at her again but this time the knife went through her. A single blood tear ran down her cheeks. And then she shuddered her last breath....
