For anyone who has dark hair that can't seem to be colored any other way, this stuff actually works! I am very impressed.

2 years ago I had a hairdresser give me streaks and it didn't work. 50 bucks down the drain. Regular hair colors never worked. 7-8 bucks down the drain.

But I got these highlights put in last night, I used HL3 for dark hair, and it gave me golden/reddish highlights that look very nice. The package cost me 10 dollars at Walmart. A tip is to leave it on 35 minutes instead of 30 if you want them more noticeable, and it's important to leave enough space between highlights. But it's not hard, don't worry, just get a friend or someone to do the back for you.

I'd rate the product 9/10. I hope this is helpful. :)

Date: 10/11/2003 7:49:00 AM  From Authorid: 29532    Now if they only made BLACK highlights. See, I have a vision for my hair that I WILL DO some day. I am going to grow it to the very bottom of my backthen have it permed into big loose curls. My natural hair color is dark bron, so I am going to have semi-large black "chunks" Of highlights put in. I've dreamed of this for months, but my hair is not long enough too do it yet. It'll take another year or 2 to get that long. It's right now, in the middle of my back.
Date: 10/11/2003 7:54:00 AM  From Authorid: 15228    I'll have to give it a try. My hair is very dark and went for highlights last month. The woman bleached highlights into my hair! I had no idea this was done..They had to put a die over it all, so it will be a while before I can try this.
Date: 10/11/2003 7:55:00 AM  From Authorid: 15228    I meant dye, though I wanted to die when I saw my hair.
Date: 10/11/2003 8:09:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 38433    Well, there's only the 3 color choices so far. I haven't heard of black but if I do I'll let you know.
Date: 10/11/2003 8:21:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 38433    I've noticed some hairdressers like to experiment instead of doing what they are asked, lol.
Date: 10/11/2003 1:28:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    and don't push hard at the top but push more as it goes down..... that is a key trick to them so you don't get the build up at the top and not at the bottom... and like you said.... get a friend to do it... have a "streaking party"*LOL*
Date: 10/11/2003 4:33:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 38433    That's a good point too, Midnightly Thanks,

Date: 11/1/2003 5:12:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 38433    You're welcome, hope it works for you 3 weeks later and the color hasn't faded much at all, I just love them. Also there's a conditioner included that lasts for 5 weeks, or longer if you go sparingly.
Date: 10/22/2005 12:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 51292    COOL! Ive never tried this kind before, my highlights always fade away after the first week! Its so annoying..Ive been wanting to re highlight for a while now so Ill look for this kind. Thanks!
