I feel so stupid

Last night I stopped to put gas in my moms truck for her. I was driving and she was in the passanger seat. i started walking towards the door to pay for the gas when my knee gave out and I went face first into the pavement. Luckily, I didnt hit my face on the sidewalk. I put my hands out and caught myself, but I hit the pavement hard. I have a gash in my knee and it is swollen. My hands hurt too from trying to stop myself from falling. Well the cashier didnt even ask if I was all right or anything, but a customer who was there did. I was so embarassed I just wanted to run back to the truck because I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes. I was glad that 1. I didnt hit my head or the galss and 2.it happened late at night when no one was there. I got in the truck and started crying, but was laughing too because of how embarassed I was. My mom thought I was nuts.

Well the thing is, I took my mom to work this morning and when I got back to the house, I went to get out of the truck and my knee gave out again. I almost went down again, but I grabbed on to the truck to stop myself. When I did this, it caused my thumb to bend back, and now there is a bone sticking up on the backside of my hand. It hurts to touch it and when I move my thumb or middle finger it sends a shooting pain up to my elbow. Should I go to the hospital to have it x-rayed?
