Let me speak of life’s miseries, Burden of grieves held upon us for centuries. Unbearable for the heavens to understand, To sinful to be brought upon such a paradise land.
To begin in such a state, Leaves holes scattered upon our fate. Loneliness casted over hearts held by lace, Eating away at a dreadful pace.
Too lost within our own fantasies, Too greedy to count God’s blessings. Light fades as darkness begins to rule, The moon and sun forced upon a duel.
How would we bear to stand before our lord, For proudly we ignored his every word. And I wonder if an after life still remains, As every hope we tend to slain.
Oh heavenly father up above the skies so high, Have mercy on us the day we die. Judge us by how our heart feels, How quickly our wounded scars heals.
Bring to us an angel with mystical powers, That would shower us with heaven’s angelic flowers. Allow her tears to enter our veins, Drowning all such tyrant pains.
And I wonder if man could win this fight, If we would be able to survive this sleepless night. For yet those dreams become reality, We yet to escape our own slavery.
For this is how we shall leave, With no sense of values or beliefs. Unaware of what has become of our life’s decaying rope, All we can do now is pray and hope.
