Hmmmm..I dont know about that..Of course I love meeting new people, but I would hate to see things like before the fee was put into place. There were some people that caused alot of trouble here and when they were banned they just created new accounts and kept coming back. There are a few I would NEVER want to see back here again.  |

Lower the price to at least 2-3 dollars? Remember the huge waves of people that used to join, well over a hundred (WELL WELL OVER)? The site would basically pay for itself.  |

I agree with LL....It would be nice to have new members *And we DO get them, just not as often* But I wouldn't want to deal with the hassles of what we use to have prior to the paid accounts...  |

When USM was free to join there were a lot of problems with banned members creating several acct.'s to hassle and harrass other members of the site. The only solution that the owners could come up with was a fee. Because nobody is going to pay $5 to come on here and harrass someone, then get banned just to pay the fee again to get on here, ya know? Its been a lot more peaceful here since the fee, and I agree with the fee 100%. We do get new people, almost every week, there just arent as many.  |

Sasuke, there is.... Any member that has a friend or a family member that they want to join USM, can sponsor that person to get an acct. here for free. All they have to do is contact Radman or Ginger via the FAQ's. |

I like the idea of the fee. I didn't have to pay before but I would still paid to come to this site if I had to. It's well worth the 5 bucks and 5 bucks isn't really that much. You can easily save up 5 bucks. But I agree that it would be great to have a lot of new memebers but I do see new members every now and then. Just not as many.  |

i think the fee is too much for many people... a few of my friends want to join but arn't going to give up the money they need to survive upon to join a website... and i have tried going through the whole sponser a friend/family memeber thing and i never got a reply from Ginger or George but granted they are busy people...  |

I've always opposed the $5 fee ever since it first came about, we all knew it would decrease new people here and that's exactly what it has done. I hate the idea of any websites charging $ (I run a website myself with an expensive domain name and hosting fee so I know the costs). But as in many cases what the members of USM want, does not reflect what the owners do.  |

And people who say- if they really wanted to join they would pay [no matter what]. That is not true, I would never pay for any website that charged money. I've seen other message boards that make you pay for asking technical advice on proxies and such, and I really wanted to join those. But since there was a charge I said forget it. I've also known a few people who come to my website clubalien.com who saw me on USM and then went to my site. They also really wanted to join, but didn't because they didn't want to pay. |

When I accidently discovered USM I knew NO-ONE here. The fee stops people like myself from joining. Yes it is quiet here now as a result, its almost silent  I do not know how to stop ignorant people from joining but I DO know the fee has stopped many people who could have contributed to this site from doing so. I remember the griefers too, I also have only memories of what this site was. The reduced influx of fresh posters is very sad.  |

If you will all go back and read the posts Ginger and George made when the fee was applied here you will have a few answers to your questions. New members can be Represented by Members that have been here for a while. ReaDd their posts and you will see... |

I know that I have been here only a little over a year, and joined before the fee went into effect, But I think that that the reasons for adding the fee were a valid one, and respect G and G's right to do this. $5 is a very very very small fee compared to some sites I have seen. If you can sponsor somneone and help them get for free, that is great though.  |

But look how slow things are here now. There have been maybe 4 or 5 post in the last 24 hours. There's basically nothing to do here anymore. The problems maybe gone but so is the fun. I don't know if this because of the fee or not. Would be nice if there were alot more people here to contribute.  |
