I don't want to be 18!!!!

I think I am very abnormal. Most teens my age want to be 18. It's like the golden age....you can do a lot of things that you used to be to young to do. But I really would be happy with staying 17! ...but I guess that's not how the world works. My birthday is tomorrow.

If I'm dreading turning 18 this much, think about what I've got to look forward to when I'm 29, 39, and 49! geez! lol.

So, if you could pick one age to stay at for the rest of your life what age would it be.

I would pick 16! I loved being 16, don't know why but I did.

Date: 9/25/2003 11:50:00 AM  From Authorid: 36766    I'm going to be 25 in 2 weeks...I don't want to be that...I'd rather be 16 again
Date: 9/25/2003 12:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 2030    Gee you'll be dead in like 90 years or so.
Date: 9/25/2003 12:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 13297    I'm 25 but I would pick 35 because that is the age that you finally have the respect of family, friends, community and peers. People finally really listen to you. I would also pick that age because you are usually in a decent financial position with the ability to do a lot of the things you've dreamed of doing. I think the 30s are probably the best years of your life. It seems to me to be the decade of empowerment...
Date: 9/25/2003 12:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 24003    Happy Birthday and...I have no idea.
Date: 9/25/2003 1:06:00 PM  From Authorid: 53284    35... That's right...35. It's a great time in your life.
Date: 9/25/2003 1:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 28848    LoL. I think that you're jumping the gun a bit here. You're only turning 18, you have your entire life ahead of you, that's a good thing. It's not so bad getting older. I'll be 27 in February and I'm kind of looking forward to my bday...for some weird reason..lol. You know, as you get older, you learn things that you never even considered or thought of when you were younger, and I know that sounds cliche, but it is true. Happy Birthday! I hope you have fun!
