you know, i drive pretty well, except when i get thinking about something, or focusing on one thing, then i just blank out. like when i first started driving, i was thinking, okay i have to turn after the light. well the light was red but iw as still attempting to drive, and almost got hit. and my friend, one time we were pulling out of burger king, and she turned, but she didn't realize it was a one way, and she was going the wrong way, so we turned just in time, but a Semi almost hit us! |

Well I dont drive a car but I do go on bike rides alot and trust me I would notice 4 or 5 deer...LOL I even notice little things like butterflies and birds and dragonflies but tehn I am going on a bike ride to relax and to kind of get back to nature you know? So maybe if I was driving a car it would be different. I do know though that my husband is like that well he would have noticed the deer(yea with the hood of our car so he could have it for dinner) but anyhow dont feel bad cause when I go online you can say something to me and I will hear you talking and I will just go yea ok uh huh and not hear anything at all just noise LOL |

i like to think that i am a pretty observant driver, but sometimes i scare myself because i will be driving along and if i am deep in thought i may pull up to my destination and think 'How the heck did i get here?' ~ what i mean is that i have been so deep in thought that i dont even remember the drive. that scares me!! |

LOL! Sometimes, I'll be driving my usual way home, and not remember passing by a certain place I drove by, or not remember taking a turn on various streets... it's kinda like blacking out. |

LOL, unfortunately I can totally relate with Hyperchick on that one...one time when I first started driving, I was thinking about something hilarious that had happened at school, and the next thing I knew I was running a stop sign out into a busy street! This car had to slam on their brakes to avoid hitting me. Then I started thinking about how stupid that was, and suddenly realized I was driving with two wheels on the curb! LOL!! EVERYONE was staring at me by then...they probably thought I was drunk! LMAO |

(imo)you kind of have to learn how to spot deer, someone may have better eyesight than another but still not see them until they get used to looking for them in a certain way. v interesting post |
