I have bad news. I just got my kitten about four months ago, he is now five months old. He's a house kitty, but everytime you open a door he tries to run outside..poor kitty. Anyway, about three days ago I had company that spent the night, and while I was asleep, one of my guests let my cat outside. I found him the next morning bloody and limping! I was so mad. Just the week before I had spent all of the money I had taking him to the vet to get his shots, $140! And now his leg is hurt. I only had $3 in my pocket, but I decided to take him to the vet anyway and try to get some help. They took our credit card info, which is in the negative, and said that they would hold the bill for two weeks and let us make payments on it. The bill ended up being $230!!!!! He had to have X-rays, and had to be sedated, and he spent the night at the vet, and they sent him home with a $35 dollar pain medication..gulp..I'm so broke. I don't know what to do. Three doctors looked at Sam, my kitty, and they said that he had a ruptured tendon in his leg and that the only way to fix it is to have surgery! They said that the injury that he had was so rare in cats, that they couldn't even give me a quote as to how much it would cost, and not only that, but none of the doctors at that vet office were even qualified to do the surgery. So now my kitty's doctor is calling in a specialist to do the surgery. I can't even imagine how much it would cost. So my question to all of you is:
Do you know of any Organizations that would help pay for pet surgeries or sponsor the surgery? My kitty really needs the surgery to be able to walk normal again, and so that he doesn't have to be on pain meds all the time.
I would really really appreciate any suggestions or help you could give! :) You can join Unsolved Mysteries and post your own mysteries or interesting stories for the world to read and respond to Click hereScroll all the way down to read replies.Show all stories by Author: 28848 ( Click here )
