God equals salvation . That is what most of us are taught to believe . We will really know the truth only when we meet our Creator . Razzy aka |

Without Jesus yes, but as long as you have Jesus you have nothing to worry about as long as you don't stop believing and turn away from him. Which if you are truly saved is not possible. |

If you weren't truly saved you wouldn't feel guilty about it. That's the enemy (Satan) trying to tell you you're no good. Don't listen to it! You see, God chose you, you didn't choose Him. That's just what the enemy wants you to think, that you can't be forgiven, that you are unworthy of God. On your own you are - we all are, but with Jesus we are all worthy! |

Wow! What to say? I just have a really hard time believing that a loving and just God would say, "All it takes is one mistake and you are condemned! Just one mistake and its all over. You're condemned to Hell!" Jesus Christ paid the ultimate sacrifice for your's and my sins through His atonement so that we could all return to live with Heavenly Father again. He knows we are not perfect and we are subject to failure. But, He also gave us repentance and forgiveness. This is not to say keep doing the same wrong thing over and over again, thinking you can just sin today and repent tomorrow and continue the cycle. We all have to work on daily repentance and life changing issues. A favorite quote of mine by Neal A. Maxwell says it all. "He loves you too much to let you stay where you are because He knows what you are capable of." |

I'm talking about without Christ, going by the Law. No one can be perfect doing works and keeping the Law. You're exactly right. That's why God gave us Jesus! Because he knew men and knew that they could not keep the law themselves and needed atonement. So he of course sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ. You're exactly right! |

Faith in God is what makes for a happy successful life,He not we makes it happen,I know I couldn't write poetry if He didn't guide the direction because i often think the poem out faster than i can write it,without thinking of a subject to start with, and I discover so many miracles happen when i need them, like finding money laying on the side of the road,or in a parking lot when i seem to only have 2 cents on me and no clue as to what comes next,it has to be GOD |

The part of this I don't agree with is that "no one is good". What that statement says is that God created us imperfectly. Why would a God do that....He wouldn't.... |

Something you said stuck me as odd. You responded to one person's comments with this "...You see, God chose you, you didn't choose Him..." Does that mean that all the athiest, agnostics, and people of other religions weren't good enough to be chosen? |

We can only save ourselves...there is no one else who can do this for us. We are all responsible for gettig ourselves into heaven . If God had made it so that we were dependent upon someone else to do for us what we must do for ourselves ... then how could we continue to learn and grow? Many people believe that by following a certain set of rules and rituals, creeds and dogma that they are going to be the first one's through heaven's gates . This is not true....what have all these manmade rites and rituals got to do with religion? The Bible is taken by some to be the only "TRUE" beliefs that were ever given to the world, but they are mistaken and are limiting God by their narrow beliefs. Truth is ever coming to us from God and always will! It is something that we can always count on and we may choose to accept or reject. Unfortunately...most choose to reject it because this is not what their church teaches them! There is always knowledge available to those who seek after God and who will lay aside the myths of ancient times that were taken from other beliefs. Become free in what you believe and do not tie yourself to only one set of rules to live your life by... because to do this is to stop growing spiritually and there is so much more to learn from God because His knowledge is limitless and goes on forever! These are my beliefs that come from spirit. |

St Pete, Where it states that "no one does good", in Roman 3:10-18 Paul is reasoning with the Jews and he is attempting to show them from their own Scriptures, that what he is saying is true. The point to be proved was that the Jews, in the matter of justification, had no advantage or preference over the Gentiles; that the Jew had failed to keep the law which had been given unto them, as the Gentile had failed to keep the law which had been given them; and that both were dependent on the mercy of God, and neither can be justified and saved only by their works. According to their own Scriptures, they were sinners no less than the Gentiles. The point here is to prove the depravity of the Jews, not that of universal depravity. In Rom 30-21, Paul says "by the deeds of the [old] law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets. Under the old law no one was totally forgiven until Christ came to die for the forgiveness of sins. Under the old law their sins were 'rolled back' waiting for the coming of their Savior who would totally free them. That is, freed the ones who had attempted to follow the old law. Regardless, no one was made perfect until the coming of Christ. Where the scriptures says that Christ died for all, this also includes the forgiveness of sins for those who died before under the old law. |

When we pass over to the next world, we will not be judged by what church we attend or what name we call ourselves...all that will be of any value is how much of God's spirit that we have exhibited to those who need our help while we were on the earth. |

FirstBorn, everything that we do to help others is part of the work of God and is beneficial to the soul of those who are in tune with Him. God moves many people and they do not all attend a church , but God works through those who are instead tuned into His spirit. It is true too that our words, deeds and actions will affect our spiritual character also when we pass over. As for the belief that we must all accept that Jesus died to save us from our sins... this is not true.... never would God demand a blood sacrifice from one He loved. By believing this we would be saying that God is far more heartless than any human parent is. What a pitiful concept of a loving God and the mission of Jesus, the Christ! There are no set of rules for attaining salvation because we are each one responsible for our own... and that was not why Jesus came here, so says spirit! |
