This was found glued into the diary. It is the last journal entry. It is a newspaper clipping put in by Randal, the friend of our son. The events in this clipping have caused us to stop drinking and stay sober. We only stuck this in after we found it while clearing his belongings.
Brisbane, Queensland.
A young teenager driver and three passengers whose names are yet to be released were found dead on the Ipswich Motorway around 2:00 this morning. Police say that while the driver was found to be sober the rest of the passengers were under the influence of alcohol. There was only one surviving passenger. This man states that the the youths had been out drinking that night and were on their way back home. The driver decided not to drink after a recent stay at a detox clinic but became involved in a tussle with the wheel by one of his drunken friends. The parents have so far yet not made any comments. Officer Daniels expressed his sympathies to the families of the deceased and warned against the dangers of alcohol and driving. The autopsies will be conducted tomorrow and there is no investigation planned.
