I was going to put this under household tips but I dont have any tips, cuz I aint got a clue here.....I wanted to make them gingerbread things you make for on your christmas tree...but when I tried to attempt to make them....it turned out to be more like a mess than something I can cut into something to hang on my tree....I dont know what is making me think of christmas soo early, but I want everything on my tree to be home made...(especially since all of the ornaments I had last year got smahed from moving and stuff).....but anyway, I want to know how to make gingerbread men for my tree.....and if there are any other ideas out there for my tree that would be cute Id like the input on it too......(it is only september and Im decorating my tree already....what planet am I from, I should be thinking of halloween LOL.) another cute thing is the cinnamon "cookies". They aren't edible, but they sure do smell good! Mix 1 cup of applesauce with 1 1/2 cup cinnamon. Press together until the materials hold together well. Wrap in plastic wrap and allow to sit at room temperature for 2 or 3 hours. Knead for several minutes. Roll out and use cookies cutters to cut desired shapes. Use waxed paper below and on top (sprinkled with extra cinnamon) while rolling to prevent sticking. Use a tooth pick or a straw to poke a hole for hanging. Allow to air dry for 3 to 4 days.
