There is an Angel
With whom I am acquainted
He has touched by life
With his brush he has painted
A picture with colors
I have not seen
Until the day
He showed them to me
I can't help but stare
At his beauty beyond compare
Those lovely eyes, shining
Within his gaze I am ensnared
His joy is contagious
Every word he breathes is
Captivating and profound
I hang on every syllable,
And drown in every sound
This Angel, fallen,
Introduced by fate
To a life against the wall
Surely has made
A desperate soul to turn around
Who has never felt so much
And now with her newfound strength
Finds a whole new World to clutch
The sky is the limit,
As I leave the ground
Far below me as I soar
Goals set and glory bound,
Me and the wings
