by a clarinetist
if i were a clarinetist
i'd kidnap you
put you in my songs
and play you to the time of mozart
or maybe beethoven
or maybe just to gershwin
seduce you with melodies
capture you in rhythms
swing to the jazz
to complement my tune
play legatos for you
ode you with my sound
anything to win you
wrap you in the slurs
show you off to daddy
yeah if i were
a clarinetist i'd kid
nap you
