Why USM is like school

This is my essay on why USM is like school

USM is just like Junior High and High school in many ways some good some bad. Some are just weird. Let me explain....

Well here at USM George is like the Principal. He makes the rules and we follow them. Ginger is like Assistant Principal she backs up the principal, inforces rules, and makes more appearences. But unlike schools they are well liked I mean who doesnt like them. Something I just thought of the chat no-no room is like Detention.

The other admins are kind of like teachers. They keep order in the posts. But like a lot of teachers they're fun to talk to.

Now here's the kind of sad part. The rest of us are like students. We have cliques. There's the class clowns (humor section), the ones with ESP, the ones that just like discussions ect... But with these groups some dont like others and some arent very accepting of others. Some people online can be pretty snobby or know it alls there's one person here like that to me anyway but she'll remain unnamed.

Well that's all for now..

Oh BTW usually it's the "popular" people here that get the most comments on their stories. Since I'm unpopular and not well known I decided to keep my name off the title

Date: 8/26/2003 2:36:00 PM  From Authorid: 45684    In some ways I agree with this. But its just like any other large group of people- there will be cliques and the popular ones, and the ones who feel like they don't belong. Its best to just make the best out of it, just like school.
Date: 8/26/2003 3:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 33925    You know, if you put your name on the titles people would be more apt to check out your posts...If they like something they read from you in the past they will want to check out other posts by you..THAT is what the name in the title is for. As for your post..Yep I think you nailed it..USM reminds me of Junior high school in many ways as well..Right down to the pettiness and jealousies, and the childishness that goes with being in Junior High..
