I hate that also. Because when they're talking while I"m trying to listen to the tv, my ears go toward what they are saying and I can never hear the tv over them talking. LOl!  |

Yeah, my dad does that...and he also stands right in front of the TV so you can't see it or he'll turn on the CD player and play music really loudly, leave it on, then leave the room and then yell when you try to turn it off to watch TV, and even though we have TWO cordless phones (or we did, until he unplugged mine because he decided that was why the computer wouldn't work) he has to use the one in the kitchen and he is very loud and obnoxious so I'm watching TV and he's on the phone shouting...so yeah...it sux  |

sounds like it is time for you to pick up an extremely annoying habit when they want to watch tv as well. You could just start chattering away about your day when they are sitting there watching it. When something is said then tell them they do the same for you when you are trying to watch tv and you truly want to return the favor. As far as me. I have mine wired through a surround sound system and I can drown out everyone in the house easily.  |

I really hate that, I never get the chance to watch TV anymore, and everytime I attempt it..there is always a big convo. going on, or kids crying..lol it agravates me soo much!  |

nah.. i always talk when i'm watching TV. i like to criticize the annoying people on there.. it keeps me sane. but i do watch it... and i know what you mean. it's aggrivating when people are so loud that you can't even hear it...  |

don't usually have that happen I usually watch tv in my room on the very rare occasion that I DO watch....I hate it much more when I'm on the phone and mom will start yapping at me..  |
