I have heard that story, because it supposedly took place not far from my house, in Arbyrd, Missouri, it ties in with the story of the Arbyrd light. If the light touches your car, it will die, and you have to go onto cry baby bridge and say the Lord's Prayer backwards to make your car start again. Pretty freaky. |

I think every town in America has a cry baby bridge, we have one here in southern Indiana also, but the story is totally different. All I remember is that a woman walks over the bridge to mourn the child and the child below crys. |

Almost the same story is told in Kent Ohio. It supposedly had occurred in Fullers Park which overlooks an old abandoned RR track. Another version is told regarding the oldest covered bridge on Newton Falls Road in Ohio. I checked these stories out a while back, and most ever state has several versions of Cry Baby's Bridge. |
