In an old counrty town far off from the city , there was a satanic cult brewing in the darkness . They would scare childern and kill live stock and rape and torture familys of the O' so quiet town . the ritual of the beast was coming around and the needed a woman and her baby for sacrifice . so they searched all over town and finally found their victim . So one night while the lady and her baby and husband lay asleep in bed they broke into her house startling her and the baby and they grabbed her holding the kid and took her husband hostage . Well they had to cross over these old railroad tracks which turned into a railroad track bridge and they pulled out a noose and made her watch as they hung her husband .well the woman desperate to save her and her childs life wriggled free and jumped from the bridge and her and the baby died as well .So now close to a hundred years later the legend says anyone who drives down by the old rail rd track bridge can hear the babys crys at night and if the time is right you can see the reenactment of the husband hanging and the woman plunging to her death . many have said they have gone down there and their cars have staled out and all kinds of errie noises and presences are there especially the crying baby .

Date: 8/26/2003 12:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 36646    I have heard that story, because it supposedly took place not far from my house, in Arbyrd, Missouri, it ties in with the story of the Arbyrd light. If the light touches your car, it will die, and you have to go onto cry baby bridge and say the Lord's Prayer backwards to make your car start again. Pretty freaky.

Date: 9/8/2003 3:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 18008    I think every town in America has a cry baby bridge, we have one here in southern Indiana also, but the story is totally different. All I remember is that a woman walks over the bridge to mourn the child and the child below crys.

Date: 11/9/2004 9:54:00 AM  From Authorid: 3125    Almost the same story is told in Kent Ohio. It supposedly had occurred in Fullers Park which overlooks an old abandoned RR track. Another version is told regarding the oldest covered bridge on Newton Falls Road in Ohio. I checked these stories out a while back, and most ever state has several versions of Cry Baby's Bridge.
