I thought i'd give a try at something. Making a weekly post called "Get Real". It will be like a weekly comment on current events, culture or whatever. So without any further ado! Get Real! Volume 1 Issue 1.
Ten Commandments in Alabama--Both sides need to get real on this. It's only a monument. Presence of this monument in the courthouse will not equal that America now follows God! Presence of this monument doesn't not mean the laws of Christianity are being forced down the collective throat of the non-willing. Get real, this is a much to do about nothing.
The California Recall--So the Republicans are recalling a liberal that they don't like. What will replace this liberal they don't like? Probably another liberal! The mexican side kick of Davis is a liberal, Arnold the psuedo Republican is a liberal. I mean pro-choice, pro-gay marriage. Republicans get a clue.
PetMeds.com---If there was ever an urban legend, this is it! Pet Meds.com really doens't save time. Either way you get the drugs for your pooch, you'll have to bring your pooch to the vet to get the initial prescription. And if you need refills, chances are you won't have to haul Fido with you anyway. So really, how much effort is being saved?
Landsend commercials--These commercials depict the customer calling the Landsend operator and placing an order. But there is more going on that placing an order. The customer is developing a relationship with the operator. Get Real! As a customer all I care about is getting my stuff. I really don't want to take the operator out for supper after I order my hand sown shoes.
Reality Shows---Is the world really that boring that we need to feed off of these reality shows? We have a war on terror, Colby, Peterson Case, Blackouts, World Hunger, Sports, Upcoming Election. and a liberal running as a conservative in California! Do we really need synthetic drama to massage our senses? We have enough real drama to keep us going for a long, long time!
