I can't believe he sold some of his prized possessions to buy me a car...it's very sweet!

This post is dedicated to my hubby...

We've been using one vehicle since we were married three years ago. Two years ago, we had our son and since then, I've stayed home with him without a car. Recently, he sold some of his VERY rare, expensive and hard-to-replace baseball cards. He took most of the money and bought me a car.

He actually said that he felt bad that he couldn't buy me a new car and I said, "it's new to me and Kameron (our son) and it's just what we need to get around town."

He's more than I could have ever hoped or dreamed for in a husband. We've had our struggles, arguments and even fights but as we grow together, he continues to amaze me more everyday.

I just thought I'd share this since it meant so much to me and since we hear so many negative things about marriage now a days.

:O)

Date: 8/15/2003 9:54:00 PM  ( SD-Admin )   Sacrafice is done out of love. John and I just did the same thing for a car. We each gave. I sold 2 antiques that were given to me by my sister and were to be heirlooms. He sacraficed some hard earned money and didn't bat an eye. It was to fulfill a need. After all, they are just material things. Great post!

I have some freedom now too and can actually take my son places. I think he also was worried for the emergency factor in case my son needed the doctor or hospital. Lots of good reasons for this. Date: 10/14/2003 12:54:00 AM  From Authorid: 28946    He sounds like a loving and caring husband You Choose, to do something like that for you. So many times it seems you only hear of the selfish things spouses do and it's really nice to hear of one of the good guys doing a good deed out of love for his wife.
Date: 10/14/2003 10:32:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34487    Thanks Penny, yes....he's come a long way. Before we were married he used to say "I'm too selfish to be married and make the right sacrifices." He grew up though, things changed and so did he in so many of the right ways. Yes, I'm a lucky girl to have him. Thanks for responding here. :O)
