Well I live on L.I. and I just got my electricity back. It's been out since 4:11 pm yesterday and it turned on about 2:30 pm today. I had to spent the whole night sleeping on the floor with two flashlights right by the phone. My parents were stuck at work so I was by myself and it was horrible. |

There are a lot of power outages in my town mostly due to tree limbs on Hydro lines so this was nothing compared to the winter time blackouts, lol. I'm happy it's on now though. |

the US is very very quick to point fingers... remember sept 11th they pointed thier fingers at canada saying that is where the terrorists came from with no proof... and never apologised... it's sad... they are soo quick to point fingers and not taking the responsability |

Well, Midnightly...the U.S. and Canada have some thing known as the "Friendliest Border in the World" , from what I've heard. But, now that all these crazy events are happening, I think that countries are trying to make the U.S. and Canada foes, so when it comes time for a war, Canada won't be taking sides with the U.S. I am sad to say that the world has been going nuts slower and slower each day since before were born and before that, too. Sooner or later WW3 is gonna come and then it's gonna be Armegeddon. |

I live in Park Slope (located in Brookyn) and my power came on about 3:30-4:30 A.M. in the morning. Some people in my neighborhood who live in Midwood and Flatbush still haven't gotten their electricity back. My friends in Midwood have gotten their phone lines back and my friend in Flatbush hasn't yet, not even the electricity. I went to his house today and his hallway was almost as pitch black as mine was last night. Lilliana, you're lucky that you have gotten your power back. I am extremely happy for you. I guess that goes to show that we can't take electricity for granted anymore...lol...... |

Hey DL! glad to see you got your power back!It sad that so many people are going without power.. but I think it's kinda cool that alot of people are making the best of it.. People are having street partys, dancing, singing, meeting outside for huge neighborhood BBQ's... it could have been made worse if things got out of controll with riots and things like that. |

friendly boarder yes and no... there are issues like free trade what is no longer free... a big one is the lumber dispute...canada was exporting lumber to the US(has been doing this practially forever) and the US decides to slap a HUGE terrif on the lumber going through... that doesn't sound friendly to me...thousands of people have lost thier jobs and it is actually illegal... so yes they have ONE OF the friendliest boarders in the world but there is a fair amount of controvery |

Most of Ohio had blackouts, but for some reason nobody on my street including me had the problem. Everyone else we talked to did. My sister and brother in law live like 2 streets down from me and they lost electric.. it was really weird. ~Silent Existence~ |

I was in the shower when this happened. My bathroom has no windows so it was kinda scary being all alone in the dark. Oh well, at least it was daylight. My power came back on at about 8 45 or so, and it's been on ever since. |

Daijha, see you got it easy. Lol. Around where I live, most people were rushing to get home...even though it was still daylight. When I was at the pizzaria, this bum started screaming, "The end of the world is coming!! Pray for Jesus!!!" Don't ask....but no block party though....even though some people were helping direct traffic on my BLOCK.....lol.. |

it was sorta scary until aorund 4am my girlfriend came over we stayed together till 11am and we were both tired but remain together,so the blackotu brought me her after a week of not seeign her...and her house almost got destroyed cuz there was fire near it,at a oil plant. Luckly it remains standing....she lives about 20-30 minutes in a car ride from me and a 2-3 hour walk since you have to cross two highways and another city lol. |
