My Grave-A poem by Gothic Angel

  Author:  55386  Category:(Poetry) Created:(8/15/2003 7:47:00 AM)

Today I digged a bit
I'm digging my own grave
Today I digged it deep
I'm my own slave

Beads of sweat
Drip off my forhead
Digging my grave
Over the things you said

But someone took over
Your digging my grave
Your hurtful words
Is another shovel made

So dig it fast
Dig it deep
And lay me down
for an eternal sleep

-Heather AKA Gothic Angel

Date: 8/15/2003 12:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 16131    Very good Heather .... I am glad I came over to see some of your work .... I will eventually read all of your posts but , I really like this one so far and have book marked it . I know the feelings you conveyed in this one all too well but , I have learned one very important thing from grave digging .... Graves are meant for memories to be put to rest not people . Took me 27 years to learn that and if you think about it , you will know it too ....
Date: 8/15/2003 12:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 59266    The darkness, emotion, and hurt this poem conveys is profound. The metaphorical aspect of this poem is creative unique and adds a dark aspect metaphorically to the sadness conveyed. EXCELLENT WORK. My kind of writing...
Date: 8/15/2003 7:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 56359    Heather I can relate to your work so much. This was so sad, and yet written so well. I wouldn't expect anything less then spectacular when it comes to your work. Thank you and write on.-screen_writer-
